Must be because on the group by thread they seem to be differentiated. Not sure what the difference is though as the other bar I have on my turbo already came off my S2. Maybe the engine sticks up a little more on the 968? You could email someone who got a 968 bar off this thread and as them...

Try emailing Sean Thomas at: sthomas918@comcast.net and ask him the difference. Sean supplied them and was responsible for their build and or design.
Just a thought, I´m sure if you lowered the engine just a few mm (try spacer washers between the body and cross member) then I´m sure the 951 bar would fit. Just depends how determined you are to make it fit.

Hey Rick - I agree $500 is high but I hate to see this bar go even at that price. This is a special one too with the red mounting plates
You need to bring your black beast out to the PCA concours on May 18th at Stoney Point Airfield. Albert and I will be out there - we can have a strong showing of dark 951s... We'll be cleaning our cars on Saturday the 17th and enjoying the car show in Norcross if you wanted to join us. BTW I have a perfect no excuses HVAC unit for sale for $150 - saw where you were looking for one in another thread.

968 bar sits higher to clear the 16 valve head. I'm 99% sure there is no difference between the s2 and 968 bars. The picture on the dynatech site is Sean's s2. The dynatech 951 bar, as well as pretty much every 951 strut bar I've seen will not fit on a 968.
BTW has anyone heard from Sean in the past few months?

I don't know if this helps at all but here are pics of the same bar on my S2 and then turbo. Zero rubbing on the hood. On the S2 I had it resting on the plastic fuel rail cover with a little piece of felt underneath.
