Default MAF Question- Car stumbles when given gas

Ok so I wired in the Lindsey MAF last night and everything worked fine.

The car will start and idle perfectly, its just whenever the pedal is pushed, the car will not accelerate smoothly. It will stumble and backfire, as if it were running lean.

Could this be that I have no fuel controller? I just replaced the stock AFM with a MAF and I have autothority chips.

Anyone have a similar experience?

****. I wasnt going to run it until I got the fuel controller, but I got bored and was under the impression that it would work without configuration.

Lindseys set up needs a fuel controller in order to work. Some of the others are plug and play

Lindseys work pretty well combined with Russells chips made for the lindsey maf. or just the mafterburner if you have an
ability to tune.

Put the APE chips on ebay and get a set of MAX chips with your present configuration. A piggyback will just help really fine tune it.

Rock i told you not to mess w/ that until you have all the parts. ITs prob. also directional as i found out on my car- so if its backwards it wont run correctly.

As far as the direction of the MAF meter, the plug should be facing the headlight.

Its not bad I can just put my AFM back in. I just wanted to have a little fun with it.
