Xsboost90 2008 engine etc. thread - IT RUNS!!!!
so now that Sam's car is gone, its time to start up my new projects. I have a tendency to post too much so i'll start one thread i can update- worked well for Sam's progress. I found out yesterday that the seal on my billet recirc valve was not holding vac- which is prob why i have a nasty rich spot when i let off the gas huh? Put a seal in there but i have some new stuff i want to do here soon. I have a large box headed this way from LindseyRacing and i already have the rear springs so i'll prob be pulling the torsion bars tonite while we are having a warm spell.
Anyone know if the lower rear coilover mounts are worth having-ball pivot style- i have just longer bolts in mine that came w/ the QA1's but im thinking of going to the nicer mounts. Im hoping to get all of this together and ready for DE season and put the smack down on some troublesome 911's- not to mention Sam and Justin- should be cool to see how the similar setups w/ different but similar turbos perform.

That car really has come a long way from when you bought it. That's a solid list, the only thing I would change is that turbo. Not a fan of the older turbos. But you've already got it so good luck!
Also, what are you going to do with the MAF, where are you planning on getting one from to use with the pipe?

I would also add that no disrespect intended but I think you can do better than the Lindsey pan baffle. Either buy a house door hinge, or research something better.
Good luck on your mission!

- i have a scivision maf on the car right now- hooked to the stock airbox- im going to just move it and attach it in the traditional manner
-ive had the LR pan baffle and i liked it. Already prob. sitting on my porch so i'll put it in.
-the turbo isnt meant to be a top hp attempt and not meant to have the greatest spoolup ever- i liked the unit because i believe it will be reliable, its watercooled and on the track it should do what im looking for which is 300-350hp on relatively low boost for 30minutes at a time.
-guarantee lots of pics and maybe a vid or two
-Justin- 65 in a 40 zone- the speed limit changes from higher to 40mph right there i guess so its more of a technicality than anything but still sucks. SHoulda been at home working on the car- i stay out of trouble that way.

Dan, I'll post the pics later when I get home, but I in no way would run the rear coil-overs on the stock bolts with out t-bars. I broke one doing that. It wasn't pretty and I ended up having to replace the coil-over. The RE units for $150 are well worth the price.
