No matter, the 911 did not look like it was being driven hard. I have a ton of in-car video of real-deal factory 911 cup race cars being driven by very fast drivers, and they most certainly are sliding around as they enter, rotate around, and exit the corners. I did not see any of that in this video. Thus my comments about whether or not it's a real cup race car, and/or the driver ability (not that I'm any great driver...).

In any case, the 951 looks to be setup very well, and would be a blast to drive.

I don't mean to contradict you all the time, but I just uploaded one of my race collection videos to youtube. It's Frank Stippler around the ring so we can compare it with the other video of the 951 vs Gt3.

here is another video that I uploaded with a GT3 drifting

Damn Lart, that one of Frank Stippler is scary quick! Big Gonads to drive that track in something that fast. Thought I saw some water droplets on the windscreen too. From what I can ascertain though, the GT3's don't slip and slide much at all. Except for the jap vid. Awesome grip from modern suspension. Again why I think that the GT3 in this thread's video is going pretty hard.
I agree with 950NE, he had enough speed to pass at times without the blocking, and I too miss the track!

Few more details:
The suspension is from intrax see http://www.intraxracing.nl/

The brakes are big reds with pagids

The tires are yokohama and dunlop 260-17 and 290-17 with old style 3 piece

The Frank Stippler GT3 ring video is one of my favorites.
But you need to watch Hans Joachim Stück in the BMW M3 GTR. That is scary

Duke, have you heard of the suspension posted here: http://www.intraxracing.nl/
Looks very interesting, specially the 4 way adj.

Yes I think I know if a 951 in Sweden running Intrax suspension. Price should be similar to KW v3's IIRC.

http://www.intraxracing.nl/?cat=prod...13&title=4-WAY
I imagine the top of the line system would be pretty expensive though. Maybe like the KW 3-way race which is custom and very expensive I believe?

Am I the only one that heard pinging under full load @ full boost? I had to cringe every time he hit the straight.

EDIT: By the way I am not really sure how I got to this thread. I could have sworn I was searching through new threads - oh well. Still surprised no one else mentioned this.

Are you talking about the 951 video? Because the GT3 doesn't have a turbo.

Here is one of my favorite drives around the 'ring. Amazingly fast.

This one is good too - however you have to tolerate the flashing in the first 30 seconds or so. Better quality camera work than before:

You must have super freaking bionics ears to hear the pinging, because I can't hear anything.

I have mentioned this from the get go. I can hear the thing appear to ping it's head off every time he gets on it and I asked him about this but he seemed not to hear it either...his car has been off the road for a little while though???
See post #6 in this thread.
Just watched it again. I can hear it clear as a bell. ping ping ping ping all around the track. Can't believe that the engine didn't blow but then again when a Tial wastegate got stuck on my car a few years ago I was getting over 2 bar on the track and I drove home.
