a few parts I wish someone would make

Let me ask some questions, How long do you think it takes to make a manifold? How much do you think Materials cost? Do you have a $3k+ tig welder? Do you know how to weld? How much do you think a shop rate should be ie. $$per hour?
After you covered all those bases and trust me I left a lot out, You have to think to yourself,
HOW MANY DO I THINK I CAN SELL?

Lart didn't see that initially. Little rich... huh I guess you really are the "used" parts supplier. I'm just not sure I'd trust one of your head gaskets
good curve,
I was flipping coins on the e or b housing myself. This car is jsut a DD and going to only go so far. I am going to get busy with the other one again shortly. Had to decide whether to throw a bunch of $$ at this one or just get it faster and leave it. I chose the second option as the 83 is a bunch lighter.

I know but that being said, I wish I could buy an intake for $500, I wouldn't waste my time building one, let alone trying to market one. For Gods sake, I wouldn't have bought a $4800 Tig and a $2k bandsaw, lol..

Evil944T, I respect that you think it cant be done. I like that you included the machine shop lights and hours and etc. however should we be including the cost of the machinist's breakfast too? Seriously, he can't do his job without breakfast. POINT being you have to draw the line somewhere. I just don't like where it's been drawn for one reason or another. MOre importantly you forgot to divide the cost of those expenses by X amount of parts a vendor sells. But thats not really the way it works because I can buy certain parts which I know have a very different (less) mark up. Perhaps most importantly I would hope at least we can be open minded about this so we don't end up being hypocrits, because I know when someone does make a quality intake or DP for less you're not going to be turning your head becuase you feel like they haven't made their cut.

I asked this guy who does allot of work around here on supras etc, if he could make a DP for me.
I showed him the stock one and he quoted me 335... for a piece that probably wouldn't fit half as well as Tim's, and would probably take him 3 friggin weeks to get finished.

Ryan, you're not helping me here. No I'm kidding. I know there are plenty of arguments against it. Going back to what I said at first. I could be wrong... but I'm being optimistic for now. BTW thanks for changing your scary avatar. This one is much more...
