How many 944 Turbo Cabs here? Factory or converted?
If you've got one, factory or converted, S2 or chopped 951, please describe your car, equipment, miles, your location, how long you've had it, where you got it and/or who did the conversion.
Factory version here. Bought in Switzerland in December 2000. I think I'm the 4th owner. Car is black with black top, and currently has about 125K km.
Classic gray interior with regular 4-way power and heated seats plus some unique 968-style stitching on the 944 door cards. Otherwise, it has standard RoW equipment with A/C and ABS brakes but no airbags or cruise control.

This thread will be cool to watch. The numbers state that only 625 Turbo cabs were made (link).
PCA states: "1989 was the last year for the 944 Turbo in the US, however the rest of the world continued to enjoy it through 1991. One of the most coveted later models was the the 944 Turbo Cabriolet, a car in which demand far outpaced supply. Production of all 944s ended in 1991 when the successor, the 968, appeared. " (LINK).
I would be interested in knowing how many made it to the states.

Three Wheelin'
Here in Estonia my friend had one: black S2 converted to Turbo Cabriolet with 1988 951 drivetrain. It had 3" SS exaust, K27/8 hybrid, 630 cc injectors and about ˇ1.8 bars of boost. Lot's of fun but after oil pump failure (read demolished engine, turbo etc) he converted it back to S2 and sold it.
It was a nice car.

Greetings Luis !
Hope you're still enjoying topdown turbo-kicks......up here it's getting a bit too cold by now :-(
You probably know mine already:
Factory #511, Cobalt Blue out and in, full leather, sport seats, cruise. No airbags, standard speakers.
It's got 100k km now and I got it locally 3 years ago.
Recent maintenance includes waterpump, belts and all front seals - engine is actually bone dry now :-)
I did notice this summer that the A/C is less efficient than it used to be. It was refilled 3 yrs ago. It looks like the compressor is leaking between the housing halves. Got any leads for gasket kits ?
Next major service item will be the clutch - I can get it to slip if I try (quickly depressing and releasing clutch while on boost in a high gear). Major work, but a good opportunity to clean things up a bit under the car....
Happy motoring!

1991 S2 converted to a Turbo courtesey of XSBOOST!!!
158,000 Miles on the car.
The car is in like 7/10 shape. I wish I had more money. The top is the worse thing on the car. If it had a good top, it would be like 9/10 (and just replace the windsheild )

Hi Guys,
This is my 92 turbo cab with 35.5 k miles. It has the classic grey leather interior with recently added cup 3 17 inch alloys. Also added were clear indicator lenses and the club sport steering wheel. One of only 100 rhd cabs imported to the UK. and as far as I'm aware its the only turbo 944 cabrio in Ireland.
