I am in the process of swapping the parts off my 2.5L engine to my 3.0L (89 2V head). I was planning on using the 951 water elbow and pipe. The front water elbow and pipe off the 2.5 head will not fit because the 3.0L block/head sticks out and the stock 951 water outlet hits that part of the head. Is there a different elbow that will clear? How did others solve this problem.

I deleted my terrible first try at answering this. I was able to get the turbo neck and base to work. The stock allen head bolt stuck up a bit too far, so I first ground one down, and then discovered that a stock "triple-square" pressure plate bolt gives an extra few mm of room. See picture below. Was able to bolt up the coolant pipe with hose on. It's tight, but no rubbing.
