If a wheel has ET52 what size spacer is required

to allow it to fit the front of a 89 951 with the m030 option?

xsboost90 10-10-2007 10:53 PM

huh? it should fit- if you have a wheel from a newer boxster/911 it may require a 6mm slip on spacer as they have a different style front wheel bearing and out hubs will not fit completely into the rim. You can also remove the bearing cap and put thewheel on but im not a fan of that.

The stock wheel on an 89 is an ET65 with a 225 tire. An ET 52 wheel pushes the tire towards the fender by 13mm, no spacers required. You shouldn't have a problem. I have an 89 with the rolled fenders I am currently running ET 46 wheels with 245 tires which barely rub the fenders, but I have a lot of negative camber that helps. I have seen ET 52 wheels rub with 245 tires if the camber is not agressive.

ahhhh MO30- musta skimmed over that part.

ok mebbe its not a offset issue, these wheels wont clear the brakes

I curious if spacers will help

spammajamma 10-11-2007 04:16 PM

so any idea on if spacers will allow me to fit these wheels

to the front, back wheels seem fine

xsboost90 10-11-2007 04:39 PM

alloys..the bolt pattern is fine its just that when the wheels are on the front the side of the caliper makes contact with the spokes

xsboost90 10-11-2007 07:56 PM

then i would say you need a spacer.

spammajamma 10-11-2007 08:21 PM
