do you already know how much vacuum you will be running, or is this something you will be testing on the dyno?

Press on ST
...and still runs 12's in the 1/4. Maybe his goal is not to break 12 but to leave a trail of tire smoke the entire way down the track while getting a 12 ET.

Kidding aside, I can only quote Vader by saying: "Impressive".

I know dry sump helps oiling but wont you lose power since the motor has to drive a bigger pump?

Quite the opposite actually. You have to drive the oil pump in a stock situation don't you? With the added vacuum in the crankcase it will increase his hp, the only question is, how much?

This I will find out.
I don't think ANYONE has posted just the results of power on sump alone??
I am going to run 70 psi at 7,000 - so the vacuum follows secondarily.
Dave'spumps have the bypass valve right on the pump, so pressure adjustments are a 30 second affair.
Also- internally manifolded, some of you guys can appreciate that, I am sure.

Eniac- my goal is 140in the quarter.
I already have the Turbo S transaxle ready to go in.
The S2 box is great, but I kept hitting the limiter in 4th at the strip.
(18.464x6.7=123.7)

I have no doubt you will soon see 140+ trap speeds and it will be an insane ride as 60' times won't improve THAT much. Im not sure why so many want a S2 tranny. My belief is if the car is too slow then you need more power. Changing the gear for 1/4 mile times is cheating yourself IMO. Why not increase power to have a car with a great 1/4 time and high top end...

Obviously this doesn't apply to sanctioned SCCA events where power is limited by regulations however when building an all out speed demon, an S2 trans is a step in the wrong direction. Personally I'd love to find a 968 trans with the first 5 gears the exact same as a 951 with an even taller 6th.....mmmm, I better stop, my mouth is starting to water.

I assume you have to delete either the power steering or a/c for the oil pump?

I actually have a bracket to maintain all but it makes the engine bay tighter than it already is.
95% of the guys who dry sump, already deleted a/c or p/s but you don't have too.

Since no one has said anything about it yet, are you now going to try your hand at drifting ST? Seeing as you won't have the issues with g-forces messing up oil flow and whatnot...

ST, I'm having a hard time figuring out whats bigger, the amount of oil the Exxon Valdez holds or that HP6 filter(with stock pressure sender, of course, didn't think I'd notice?)
