1/4 Timeslips. Best 10 on the list? --Video

Thanks guys.
I have to go against the flow, it's just my nature.
I used to be convince that I'd never see one of these run in the 10's. Now I'm not so sure.
I'm fairly positive that I would have ran in the 11.3-11.4 range if I leaned on it harder. It was tough not to but I had to drive home still.
My goal the next time at this track is 11.5@128-130. I think with the turbo changes I'll pick up some top end. I didn't even use the anti lag this weekend either. That alone should be worth a few tenths as it has been in the past.
Should be interesting. The real beauty of it is that it doesn't feel stressed at all. I hardly popped the hood all day.
Just to ramble a little more.....
When I sold my Nova years ago I had planned on buying a supra after watching a video of one driving to the track running low nines.
Obviously this car is not going to go that fast but shoot, if I can create a ten second daily driver I'm totally happy. It's been a fun journey that's for sure.

It is a crude trans brace going from rear tow eyelets over to the center bolt in the trans. Comes from the passenger side. I highly recommend doing something to eliminate the sway.
The axles are gnk non taper axles using empi vanagon joints. Pretty inexpensive and so far have held up to some abuse.

A daily driver that runs 10's, even 11's is amazing! And it handles well. And it looks good. DE/strip/daily driver at a very low cost for what it can do. These cars have incredible potential.

I don't think the stock block without sleeving will do it reliably, unless you consider changing headgaskets every other oil change normal. His block was reinforced a bit. But he still did it in a way that was very cost effective. Well done on that front again.

I agree... that's why I copied his design.

Syd, now that we have a great 1/4 mile number just for the masses that believe in roll on racing could you do a 60-100, 80-120 runs , if you dont have a inboard camera to record the runs maybe we can all pitch in and buy you one.

Your 1/8 mile is the same as many of mine. I think if you mixed that mph with some of your better starts, you'd be hitting 11.5's. (you know this) Launch control? Sit at the light and wait for it to boost! Your 60-150 should be sick.
