Is it possible to make a 951 handle as well as new sports cars?

Folks, a GT3 cup still makes 420+ HP. And, obviously the price of entry to own one is higher than the average well-prepared 951.
That said, I'm not saying they're *all* faster than a 951 - I think 3 factors help us 951 guys out: 1) cup cars are actually harder to drive than 951s; 2) spending ability and driving ability are rarely related; 3) the higher cost of a cup car will keep some drivers more cautious due to a fear of wrecking.
In the right hands, cup cars are freakin' fast. I have seen some 951s that are faster (Roy Chong's comes to mind), but those are not exactly "streetable" by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm not disputing Tim's claim of chasing and passing street GT3s - I do that all the time - but I think him turning a 59 second lap at the old Lime Rock is mythical.
