Default Going to try for 0-60 time that is not a joke.

Okay - someone figure this.
I am S2 gearbox but with 275/40/17 (3% more circimferance, right?)
At 7200 RPM - must be close to 60 MPH right? - a little over maybe?
I just did a clutch slip start in second and damn if I'm not close to 3 seconds.

So how fast is 7200? (7243 according to SMT6)

with all your power, i would think you'd be better off with a taller stock gearbox rather than the s2 box.

I agree with you - although the second gear start was REALLY without drama with the copper/ceramic clutch. There is zero bounce with the escort shocks.
It just lit the street tires then hooked gradually.
Thinking about going to E-town with my super-stock buddy.

This is the next video I will post.

~69mph. You should have passed 60mph at 6200rpm.

Tyres are about 4% greater circumference and yes, speed is 69.3 mph assuming 2.059 2nd g and 3.875 fd.

Are you saying you got to 7200 rpm in just over 3 seconds... pretty impressive!

I did a little excel spreadsheet to make it easy to play around with different figures - i was going to attach it but the attachments don't support that format.

Strange things happen to tires with that much power.

How about tire growth and distortion? You gotta consider it at those velocities. Well, at least for the first 2 seconds before the tires try to resume normal shape and size. After you regain traction they will get a little flat on the bottom. Plus the tires could be spinning on the wheels without bead lock.

We got any pro drag racers to consult?

I don't think you could get that thing to hook up well enough to get a 3 second 0-60 time. The rear end of your car weighs nothing and you only have 275s out back. . .

A 275 Micky thompson ET street certainly would. But, curious. What kind of tires do you have on the back? ----

I love this though. Keep leading the pack ST.
