I replied because of that statement. As a bolt on item, the 70mm size would not be a good match for anyone unless they have done extensive mods to their 8v car. IT would be a good match for a custom 16v application.

It appeared you have no flowbench, real world or DYNO experience with a 70mm TB so I offered mine. Sorry, I didn't need to get past the flowbench to realize the 70mm wouldn't work well enough for a dyno run..

Anyways, good luck with your inquiry. I didn't realize that this is a discussion forum and you can't answer unless its exactly the right answer to the exact question.

Evil 944T, the data or lack of did not add any value nor did it answer my question.

I never asked if a 30mm, 70mm or 100mm is a good size TB. I will keep in mind your results based on the flowbench testing. I wonder, do you perform all of your testing on the flowbench, or do you actually perform some real life testing?

Thank you for trying to add value to this thread. However TB sizing was not the question, but thank you for sharing your flow bench data on the 70mm TB. If you have any dyno data on a different size TB please feel free to share it.

You are correct, I have not used the Edelbrock 70mm TB or any Edelbrock product, which is why I'm asking the question. However, you move forward yet with another assumption about what I have or have not tested or what I'm trying to accomplish.

It was nice shatting with you, have a good one.

John, was that an intentional misspelling or did you just want to end the conversation?

Ok, not trying to be a jackass, or opening up a can of worms, but this is a 951 forum, and correct me if i am mistaken, but there are only two types of cylinder heads that were ever made and ever used on the 951, and those were the 8v and 16v heads.....so in short, everyone is going to believe this throttle body you ask about is going to be used with a 8v or 16v head no?

Chill, im not "taking sides" here, but if anyone has experience with this TB in the 951 world, it would be from 8v or 16v heads.

Hosrom, as I stated in an earlier post. I'm trying to get information to see if anyone ever used or have any information regarding the Edelbrock TB as per link above (is it good, bad, reliable, unreliable) is the sort of information I was hoping to get.

I guess I'll pick one up and try it myself.

Thank you all for your input.
