Default oil dip stick

I have a leak by my oil dip stick. I had to replace my turbo and had a hard time putting back in the oil dip stick tube. I noticed that the dip stick tube is loose at the bottom and not to tight. I am going to check to see if the oil is leaking from there. Is it important that the dip stick tube is seal good into the case. Will it affect the way the car runs in away? It is in the hole but has some play in there. If there is an air leek there will it do anything?

There's a plastic bushing and an O ring that may have become displaced or deteriorated. Its best to buy new ones from the dealer, they are not expensive and easy to install.

The plastic bushing is only required if the dipstick tube doesn't have a metal version of it already welded to the tube.

You would need to put some loctite 638 as mentioned in the manual.

I recently replaced the o-ring and I put some silicone on the bottom part of the tube just below the o-ring to seal it up better, leaks are gone!
