Default joshua tree

here is a good shot.

EMS bought the picture and put it on a bunch of billboards across New England.

If you are wondering you had to jump and catch a lip, once you did your legs swung out.

Isn't that guy a famous free climber? I believe I saw a show about him and how he climbs without any ropes. Unbelievable. I always wonder how long before something bad will happen to him.

No those shots are all of me.

You mean Dean Potter or Dan Osman.

Dean is alive, Dan is not.

If i ever climb more the 30ft i always have a rope on.
The shot of me hanging is only 12 ft off of the ground.

You guys don't think thats really me do you?

Oh well, if anyone is in NH and wants to learn how to climb give me a PM.

Your chances of getting hurt are 100% or 0% , depending if you ever do or never do.

Never tell me the odds.

Khul, Jake: You guys are insane...freakin' nuts man!

Nothing that exciting for me besides upset employees, papercuts and the ever present threat of American/western hating Al Quaeda. Seriously you guys at home are in just as much danger if not more so than I am...most the time anyways.

I oversee logistical support of building material & food supplies to the outlaying FOBs (Forward Operateing Bases) PRTs (Provincial Reconstruction Teams) and Spec Ops camps for both ISAF & US forces.

Since my employment in Afghanistan began I have seen 288 attacks (80mm mortar/Chinese (very accurate) 122mm rockets/Russian 107mm rockets) in Salerno and 39 attacks in Kandahar (same type of rounds, its like the freakin' variatey show). So out of roughly 948ish days in theater and seeing 327 days of hostile action (sometime during that day) it breaks down to newbies ****ting themselves and/or getting woken up at 2am to an ear piercing shreik then a boom that rattles everything around you every 2.8 or so days or just under 1/3 of the time. Not too shabby

Iraq is worse though, not looking forward to my conference in Bagdad in Feb.

I'm in the Marines and currently in Iraq. Unfortunatly I'm over here about 7 months out of every year. I wouldn't really put it up there with high risk...but some might. Either way I have no complaints about being over here. Damn media...as for job, I cant really "tell" you what I do, but it involves recon.

What base are you at? I have to go to Victory in Feb. I know there are exaggerations and such but my buddies say its pretty bad (but they're mostly on FOBs).

I agree its not that bad, mainly an incovinece at 2 am but you guys never get any sleep anyways...AND you get a gun...I'm jealous

I'm mostly at TQ, but we go out to HP, BD, CF, and Dogwood before it closed.
