Excellent, nice pictures. Would be greate to put some performance data to the engine installs. I really hope that the thread could become a big selection of GT installs with not too much bla bla bla...

There are many possibilities in relocating the turbo if that is the only goal but there are only VERY few that make sense in really IMPROVING the set up above the stock 951. As visible on most of the posted pictures it often means big compromises for a daily driver. The front installation of the turbo (water spray res.) does not allow to retain head lights when you are useing a big turbo. I tried with Fiat coupe and Porsche GTS lights and could not make it fit. Exhaust gas routing also did not seem to be too esay in my eyes because of the limited space due to the engine traverse. Other installs needs holes here and there. In the end the best solution follows the compromise you are willing to take.

Ok.

I can be wrong but this is what I understood from swedish forum (Red 951), that this right side mounted turbo is Precisionturbo PT-65 (Good for 700 hp, GT35R is 63mm if I remember correctly) and its installed to 2.5 liter engine...

unfourtunately I cannot identify hotside AR..

Boost starts to rise @1900 rpm and reaches max boost 1.4 bar@3400 RPM. In 1.4 bar they got 338rwhp/456nm. Difference in 1.2 vs 1.4 bar was 56 hp..

If you ask me that is pretty good for turbo with reserv of 700 hp. and its installed to 2.5 liter engine.

I doubt you get similar results when turbo is mounted on stock location

this translation can be wrong.. I think Duke or Corleone on Sweanders will jump in soon...

I'm a novice at this but that seems an amazing response time for boost v's rpm's!!! Can this really be the true statistics? Fantastic if so...If he's getting 1.4 bar at 3400 that means he's getting 1 bar well below 3000 on a turbo good for 700hp. Seems unbelievable?

If it has 1.4 bar at 3400 it probably has 1.0 bar slight above 3000 rpm. Above 1.0 bar the pressure rise is usually very fast.

The final numbers Nemo (the owner) stated was 389 hp and 496 nm at the rear wheels at 1.4 bar.

Here's the Finnish AMW kit for 951's. Kit uses Dutch KMS engine management system. AMW has made a bolt on kit, which have KMS, all piping and turbo. They have dynoed 400 hp/540 Nm from otherwise stock 2.5L

I am repectfully (because Duke wears his hat sideways ) requesting a boost trace, or the torque line from the dyno sheet.

Olli - no 951 with a k26 ever has, nor ever will be dynoed at 400 wheel HP.
Please clarify.

AMW has made a bolt on kit, which have KMS, all piping and turbo.
As i wrote kit also include turbo. I don't know much about this charger, but it uses Holset center section and does not have water cooling.Hot sides AR is 82.
The builder is one of the top turbo engine builders here in Finland. He also have his own dyno, so he can adjust what he builds.

Yet more interesting stuff from northern Europe ! Thanks for sharing.

How much do they sell this "bolt on" kit ? I found no mention of it on their website.

Turbo & all necessary piping 1950€
AMW KMS 2550€ including all necessary hardware for 951 installation. Both of these can be bought separately also.
According to builder of this AMW 951 the 951 crossover pipe design is not very effective. He is planning the new design which would give some additional horsepower. I suppose that 400hp/540nm is not the final figure. He has not earlier built 951's.

Heh.. I do not speak a world of swedish but this is pretty much what is being said in the forum..

Imagine if you dial the boost into 2.0 bar smth.. this thing would make some serious power...damn... I like the open minded out of the box attitude here..

Imagine what that turbo could do on 3.0 liter 16 valve ? same boost by 3000 rpm and alot more power because of efficent head it has...

BTW duke. whats with Puppans project.. how fast it spools compaire to that 2.5 liter nemos project? (puppan car is 3.0 liter 8 valve and GT35R with 0,82 AR- smaller turbo, more displacement and stock location for turbo)

If it has 1.4 bar at 3400 it probably has 1.0 bar slight above 3000 rpm. Above 1.0 bar the pressure rise is usually very fast.

The final numbers Nemo (the owner) stated was 389 hp and 496 nm at the rear wheels at 1.4 bar
