Default Future 951 value?

I am just wondering if the 951 will start to appreciate like so many of the other Porsches have?

I am considering buying a 951 next year and wonder if such a purchase will have a little silver lining.

I know modding has a large hit on resale as well, though I have seen some lightly modded cars fair well.

Just looking for some thoughts on this.

Thanks,

They already are.

I bought mine about 5 years ago and they were in the 5-8K range. A little more for S models.

Now, good condition models are in the 8-10K and some nice S models in the 10-14K range.

Seems the "stage 1" mods do not affect resale; i.e. chips, 15psi 3BAR regulator.

Of course, you can do all the mods you want and just keep all of the original parts if you re sell.

I think it all depends on who's evaluating you car. I got my VA tax forms for my car and they said it was worth a grand total of $100. Yup, I was charged $43.5 in taxes...which was covered by the VA car tax relief so I paid nothing.

In all seriousness though, all the prices I've seen have been getting higher since I bought mine.

I think if you keep the car stock looking, i.e. no wierd body clads or stripped interior, mods may help the value if you can find the right buyer.
