H&R RSS suspension for 944
#16
Just an observation:
As stated above they don't appear to be adjustable and they have rubber bushings in the rear as well as the tops on the fronts..
In that respect they are no way near as good as my Leda's

reno, no idea what you are talking about maybe not about H+R suspension. As I already posted before the H+R shocks are in a different class at least compared to Koni or stock suspension. I am running them now in all day traffic for 2 years on one car and for one year on another 951 and they still look like new. Before I made my decision I had a look at the KW Variante 3 suspension as well but I did not like the design of the damping adjustment at the rear. It looked like prone to failure. On the other hand I heard that they perform quite well too but are not suited to track use as good as the H+R ones. To set up an order it means
Stock
konis (M030)
KW V3
H+R "nordschleife"
H+R Cup (like Bilstein cup)
Don´t know where to put the Lead due to lack of own experience but you can get them valved to your own liking. In terms of manufacturing quality the Lead shocks I have seen would be below H+R. Can´t say anything about durability.

PS Reno you've got to stop hitting the tequila and then the keyboard. As for the KW's being so bad, well there are a lot of very satisfied customers in the UK where they put salt on their roads and would be very prone to rust. The entire shaft is made from stainless steel and rust isn't such a problem down under. The UK guys also love them for road/race and the brand is very successful in Europe on the track.
PPS P-file sorry about that long winded email the other night. Thanks for advice to date on this site.

There are plenty of big names and successful, race-winning cars using KW suspension so I think that speaks for itself.
Why buy coilovers if they don't have adjustable dampening or rebound? Seriously, you'd be better off going with Koni's and doing the ARHK conversion and save a good $1-1.5k. If I was paying $1.5-2k+ for coilovers that weren't even adjustable, then they better have been valved by God himself otherwise it's a waste IMO.
