Default Selling my beast :(

Took me a while to make this decision...

https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale-ads-member-to-member-fs-wtb-free/274132-fs-1987-944-turbo-highly-modified-slightly-broken.html

Any ideas what the car's worth? It was appraised at $30,000cdn before the engine failure. I have no idea what broken 951's are worth.

I doubt you can get more than 10-14k as a whole, but if you part it out you might get the 30k

Yea, I'm not looking to part it out, so I am expecting to take a huge loss on the car.

It's a US spec car, so there shouldn't be any problems at all. It was imported into Canada by the first owner when he moved from Arizona to Calgary. Speedo, everything is in miles.

In that case, all it would take is a bill of sale, and the title. You'll both need to fill out some customs forms but it's not a big deal. Just dont lie on them. (Some guy I sold a car to in Canada did, I ended up in a back room with no windows)

Rage, sad to see the car go, was truely an inspiration.

Thanks for the comments guys. Hopefully in a few years when work gives me a break, I'll be back in the 951 game. A 968 turbo would be a nice next project right?

hehe yeah. I came REAL close to building one this year. I decided equity in the home and savings was more important
