Talking Thank you, Promax Motorsport!(now with first impression on the MAF chips)

I finally received my Scivision MAF kit on Tuesday. It got held up at least 10 days at Canada Customs.

I got around to installing the kit tonight and I am just back from a quick run with the car.

The installation is very straightforward and the instructions are easy to follow. I did run into fitment issues with the supplied Samco hose. I may have to shorten its lenght a little bit as I was unable to line up the airbox with its hold-down bolts. I was still able to put everything in place but I will go back in to make the airbox more secure. I took a few pictures and I'll try to post them soon.

Quite simply: It transforms the 951 into a much more "modern" feeling car. The most significant effect is on throttle response. There is a noticeable reduction in early-throttle lag.

I had ordered my kit with the MAF chips. I decided not to install the new chips initially just to be able to have a comparison between stock chips and the MAF chips. I'll try the new chips this weekend.

Again, thanks to Andrew at Promax Motorsport. The Scivision MAF kit is a great product and I dare say an almost must-have mod for all 951 enthusiasts.

better to send too long then to short! Its probably intention just to make sure it fits everyone. When I helped install one of these, i notcied the same thing you did in throtle response and spool. Great maf if you are keeping the stock airbox.

Eyal,

BTW, the airbox that I installed in there is the one that I got from you last month.

Thanks!

I had the same issue too with my kit and Ben's kit. Like Eyal said it's better a little longer than shorter.

I must agree for those that want or need the stock look this is a great way to go.

As Eyal said, we trimmed the samco hose about 5/8" and the airbox lined up fine on mine.

Hi All,

Cas951 is correct - we do supply the hose a little longer than required to ensure that there is enough hose for all cars (as it does vary from car to car). Hopefully it's not too difficult to trim.

Thanks for all the positive feedback so far.

Have a great day all!

Regards,
Andrew

Hey Al..........im using the Andial chips that came with the car....waiting for the 1.2bar chips from scivision......or still thinking about Vittesse.......I just got my new 55# injectors this week so they are going in this weekend.

Was planning on a dyno run next week to see where things are at.

Roger,

Did you order Andrews chips? I'm considering it myself and curious to see if it will be a better match whith this kit. I have Guru chips right now.
