Default Stage 1 or 2 KEP PP

Finally getting around to ordering a KEP pressure plate.
Didn't realise there was a stage 1 and a stage 2 until now.
Which do I need? I'm probabaly between 350-400 rwhp.
Is the KEP Paragon Products lists a stage 1 or 2?

Thanks

Its just listed as the KEP. I dont think they stock both, could call and ask tho. I didnt know till after I got it that there was a 1 and 2 I saw Stage 2 or something stamped into mine, then realized

If they dont have KEP1, they can order it or you can order it from from Kennedy Engineered Products. Its the same price.

What is the stage 1? Less clamping force? Why would anyone want it?

Special Tool said that a stage I with a copper ceramic clutch is good for 1000lbs of torque.

So if the stage I is softer to the pedal and can handle 600lbs why would I need the stage II?

Stage 2 is not that stiff, I actually prefer the stiffness, bottom line any KEP will be up to the task and the agressivenes of the disc will determine if you have chatter or not.

I bet that 600ft lbs on the stock disc is not after she heats up.

jwl is using a KEP stage 2 and 930 disc on his 2.8, no chatter and no slipping.
