Default Introduction... from Australia

Hi guys, I've been lurking the board for ages... pretty much since I got my car like a year and a half ago. Finally decided to become a member and start posting more.

I live on the Gold Coast in queensland Australia, am a graphic designer, and have a 86 turbo.
My dad has a 930 turbo that he never drives

Anyway, so far all I've done to the car is put in a gearbox with quaiffe LSD, custom clutch, and simmons wheels. I've had a vitesse kit sitting around for ages, which I've decided to sell and will be posting an ad shortly.

Time for some pics

pre simmons...

and now at the risk of being called a ricer...

Still a lot of cosmetic things on my 'to do' list. (rear wing, side mirrors, fixed headlights etc) But it will get there...

Cheers,
SD

Nice, what does the script in the carpet say?

The script in the carpet says Nocturnal. I did it in the same style as the turbo script for consistency.

Thanks for the sig testa, but I'm a graphic designer and can make my own ;p
the animated one you had before of 944's racing going around a corner with a ripple strip was pretty cool though.

Forgot to mention above... current state of car = being repaired. Timing belt broke My own fault really, i put off getting it done for too long. And I don't know how to do that sort of thing myself, even though I'd like to learn, there isn't quite the abundance of helping hands over here for Porsches as there seems to be in America. So its quite expensive Should have it back soon though.

GDay SD951,

I've had a vitesse kit sitting around for ages
Sell the kit or put it in the car, they are not meant to be sitting around still unpacked.

Welcome!

And ah the Gold Coast! I stayed in Brisbane for about a week last winter. I'd give pretty much to be back strolling the City Botanic Gardens instead of being in a snowy Sweden right now!

Cool

Welcome to the board...your mods are done for YOUR taste per say not those of others, so fear no ricer call outs. My project has fetched many frowns for cosmetics, but everyone here will respect your efforts and visions. This is a great environment to grow with your Porsche, and a technological heaven concerning drivability & maint. issues. Look to Special Tool for engine info, he is after all a living legand around here. Once again welcome....

After all the rice thing started because some idiot watched a GT3 race and wanted a race car on the street but with bling...and no budget for a motor. Okay, my rant is done....

Thanks. NZ spoke highly of you.
I figured there must be some reason you don't have an avatar.
That was just a quickie in case you didn't want to mess with it. You have such a nice looking car.
I can't remember you ever having an avatar....

thanks hally. was a touch decision

You know i didn't actually like the fuchs when i first got them... but they grew on me quickly and I got hooked on the red / black theme. So I wanted to update the look a bit while maintaining the red black thing. I'm happy with the Simmons

You'd better be happy with your Simmons as you are not getting your Fuchs back

I have already polished and painted them.

Harness bar is in the shed waiting for you (free).

Didn't have the 951 long so it's hard to compare, 3.2 911 definitely faster than the 944S2 I had, but need more grips.
