I loved my Kumho MX's at Lime Rock this summer. Never lost their grip as I did faster laps. Exceeded the capabilities of my stock suspension. First time that has happened. Quite a bargain.

i have heard Kumho's were good. how long do they last compared to other r-compounds?

i have tried the yoko-hama, but i was much quicker with the toyo - ra1.

They're not R-compound. so they last along time (for ultra-high performance summer street tires). From what I've read, stock suspension is not really appropriate for R-compound, it can't handle the loads well, not balanced. I'm only at the "track what you drive" stage myself. Next upgrade is M030 sway bars so I stop bottoming out the chassis at the apexes.
