Very good condition, I agree that the rear height looks just fine where it is, after all it was engineered to be higher than the front!
And BTW, I hope you have some good hatch shocks!!!

Nice colors. The color for the 1989 models were called light gold metallic. They dropped the Kalahari Beige Metallic. Light gold was slightly lighter than Kalahari. Almost looks silver at night.

Sam,

Your car could be my car! '89 Turbo U2U2 Light Gold Metallic and black partial leather, right? This paint color is a real PITA IMO. As I've worked with the local body shop jobbers, we've come to the independent conclusion that this is really Audi Bamboo Metallic. You're right, it is lighter than Kalahari Beige and more gold than the other Beige Metallics.

I've struggled with the musical question of "what do about the color." My 89 is mechanically perfect with only the basic mods...968 M030 retrofit including rear Koni coil overs and new control arms, dual port WG and MBC....and the interior is a 10 with the exception of the slices in the rear carpet where a roll bar once lived But the paint shows the pitted rock chipped wear and tear of an active early track history despite being a garage queen for the last five years of its life.

About one a month or so I go through the mental exercise of deciding between doing nothing to the paint because it is only a cosmetic consideration with no risk of oxidation, etc...doing a whole respray in OE gold, doing only the front clip in OE gold or going for it and changing the color to something a little less "eighties." Answer so far been to wax it a little more and do nothing

I believe Sam's front rotors are on the wrong side. If the holes are in the same direction as the vane, they appear to be pulling air into the bearing area and it should be sucking air out. You may want to check this.

The reason I noticed the rotors is that I have Zimmerman's on my car as well. Different manufacturers drill/cast the holes differently. The first pic is of my Zimmerman's. Notice the pencil that indicates the direction of the vanes. The second picture shows slotted rotors which shows the direction of the internal vanes that are oriented so the rotor acts as a centrifugal pump pulling air out away from the bearing and moving air in the same direction as the air scoops attached to the struts. However the third pic shows some Stoptech brakes that have the holes in different vanes. That's why I said to check yours as I don't know how the relationship between the holes and the vanes.

Methinks Musche's on the money with this one. Checked the cross drilled Zimm's on the front of my race car and they point the same way as Musche's.
