Antonioalia, those wheels are Simmons wheels, made in Australia and with the thin lips are used by most of the race teams here, sold in the US by www.groupawheels.com or the Aus site is www.simmonswheel.com.au

funny enough mygirlfriend just made me sell the bike. she would rather a holiday. i was very sad to see it go but its probably for the best. so dangerous but so much fun. one of my friends wants the bike so its his now. what year model is the 851?

1991. The V twin sounds great and you can enjoy it at slower speeds which suits an older guy like me, my wife said if you have kids no bike as she doesn't want fatherless kids. I thought she may relent, we have been married two years but no luck yet. I may get her to relent one day for a harley as I would be unlikely to go quick on something like that.

big cruisers. there is nothing like riding a bike. your cars sound so interesting. haltech and dual injetors. thats crazy. what a car. we have a few 944 turbos come into our work mostly early models but we have a 90 as well. here is a pic of my engine bay...

Awesome! Is that jet hot coatings on your manifold and intercooler pipes?
Let your client with the 90 know it is rare, only 15 1990s came into Australia as they were $140,000 then

You want a great bike and not too expensive, get a Ducati M900 (Monster). I had the first year model. It was a 1995. Flat black paint and gold frame. Naked sport bike, very nice looking. Not so fast, it would get tired at about 110mph. But it would get there pretty quick. But that bike handled great. Low center of gravity and massive brakes. It was a great ride. I got it for $3400.
Problem with the open class bikes is that they accelerate so fast that your brain can't catch up with how stupid it is to go 145mph in 3rd gear on a public road until, oops, you're going 145. And at that speed, turns come up really quick and unless your ready to drop your knee, it can get pretty scary. I almost ate it around a turn, doing over 130mph. I was showing off and then I almost couldn't make the turn. I actually thought about bailing out. If I had, I'd be dead now.
Jet951, I forgot to say before, the bike is beautiful. Too bad you had to sell, but like myself, it was probably in your health's best interest. If you want a good bike, not too fast, but handles great. Check out that Ducati M900.
