YES! For the road, VERY good upgrade but have to remember about fuel delivery and chips/programming to run the turbo.

depends what u are looking to get out of the car. If u are looking for alot of horsepower then the answer is no. U looking for some extra horsepower and fast spool up then yes. I would probably recommend the k27/8 but it all depends what u plan on doing to the car and what your goals are. I forgot to mention u will need some supporting mods if u plan on turning the boost up and chips are a must

Does anyone have video of K27/6 and/or K27/8?? I have thought about both of them for my car and wondering about boost/power of both. I know the k27/8 will boost later of course but how much later and what is the power difference? Does the K27/6 run out of steam like the K26/6 because of the smaller exhaust side or can it keep up?

from what i hear is that the #6 runs out of steam in the higher rpms. I think u do some supporting mods the later spool up won't be bad at all.

k27/8 is better. t04b/t04e w/ about 0.50 trim is quite good. I've gone that route.

I don't know what your mods are, but IMO a 27/6 is a better setup on a street driven 951 (2,5 L) than a 27/8.

My 27/8 spools just as good as the 26/8 I had on it prior, gave me 40HP and 50TQ at the same boost level. I see boost by 2700, full boost by 3000. To be fair, my 2.5 is stock bore but has lots of bolt on goodies so I'm not sure if you'd get similar results with a stock intake and exhaust.

I'd buy the 27/8 again if I had to do it all over.

My K27/6 (w/Vitesse MAF) will hold 17psi of boost all the way to redline. Full boost at around 3200rpm, above 1 BAR or > 0 psi on my boost gauge by about 2700rpm.

General consensus seems to be that the K27/8 is capable of an extra 15-20 HP on the high end, at the expense of 2-300rpm in spool up. My car is primarily street driven with a few DE's a year so I decided spool up was more important to me than high end HP, but to each his own.

As the others have said, you'll need chips and maybe bigger injectors (and ideally a MAF).

Search for 'K27/6 Tony G' for lots of discussion on this topic.

Sure Daniel, sounds like fun. Maybe when we meet to distribute the group buy splitters. Sounds like Chris is close to getting his car running, I think we need to have a Colorado get together to celebrate!
