Installed 968 mirrors into my 951 about five years ago. It was a direct bolt on job. I have a whole set including all the electrics etc. Little bit job to do with the electric connector. You are even able to use original 944 electrics, if you would like to do this cost friendly. Have seen different kind of systems how to put mirrorhousing and mirrorleg together, but there is absolutely no need for such self made devices. At least i didn't use any of them and compressing the spring and putting these parts together took just few seconds.
