7
GTP +3.0
Porsche System
Jürgen Barth
Walter Röhrl
Porsche 944 LM D 323
Porsche 2.5L Turbo I4

It is posted incorrectly on wikipedia look here http://www.experiencelemans.com/en-us/dept_156.html

It was entered as a 924 GTP...... there was no such car as a 944 in 1981 , the 944 moneker came later , when the engine was later linked to that car as a 944 LM , porsche never "officially" ran a 944 @ lemans ...It had to run in the GTP ( prototype ) class as the engine was not a production model .....

I didnt call it a 944 GTP

that link is the one I usually search for when this topic comes up. note the 2 924 carrera GTR's that DNQthat aren't listed in the wiki link. Peter Brock was a leading Australiasian motorsports figurehead until he tragically died in a targa event last year driving an AC Cobra Daytona replica. Actually his 1 yr anniversary is coming up this month

It's for sale too, upwards of $250k if I recall what he said correctly.

Were those pictures taken at a private or public collection? If public, where?

I believe we have one of those cylinder heads here should someone be looking for something really special and unique. Not a bolt on.
