Default 3inch exhaust goodness

The top portion of the downpipe directly out of the turbo came from speedforceracing. I know my limits, and i saved myself the headache by having tim make that part of the exhaust, from then on we've been making the exhaust ourselves. Check it out, not bad for a stick welder.

Looks like you did a pretty nice job. The SFR downpipe is good stuff, too!

Yeah, tim is an excellent welder, his stuff costs a lot, but if i did a close up on those welds on the SFR downpipe, you'd understand why.

Yes, 304 to be exact. Actually we are really going at it today, it might be done, last thing i need to do is line up the merging area of the wastegate dump pipe to the main exhaust. And yes, it's even harder than it sounds

Really good job man. Welding is something I realyy want to learn. Is there a cheap way to learn welding?

Are you just going to cut the WG tie in off the stock exhaust and then weld it into your 3"? I would think that would be the best approach.

Yes sir, pauter rods, knife edged crank, JE pistons, all balanced. So no more balance shafts. Anyhow, it's done, picture is bad quality (can't find my digital camera, had to use another), but it's done.

That's actually exactly how i did it, but its still a real pain. And for some reason, while welding, the stock exhaust melts much much faster than the 304 that i'm using for this 3 inch. Not to mention that there were a few gaps, took almost 2 hours to fill in those gaps too.
