I like the second definition much better and uses it whenever I talk about VE. It tells me more about the engine.

He was refering to the homebrew and/or running higher octane does not give more power.
Turning the boost up does, assuming you have not readed the turbo's inneffeciancy range and are jsut making more heat.

If Tool makes a decent brew,it should have hypersonic burn speed making him able to run 1.2 degrees of ignition at 6K rpm thereby reducing losses.

In all seriousness - I do have a special fuel that I mix just for the 951 and I am happy with it now and use it consistantly.
It performed better in the 951 than the VP race fuels.
