Thanks to everyone for not taking advantage of my absence the last few days!! (Special thanks to Lart!!)

The only thing keeping this thread out of 'The Abyss' (it is not even worthy enough for OT!!) is the fact that there is going to be some 'On Topic' information added very soon.

FWIW, I played around with Robs car a bit tonight. The thing fires up and idles smooth as hell. . . . . Motronic running 83lb injectors. I don't know what the car was like before, but from what Rob and ST have told me, I know the Vitesse system has made a night and day difference.

Forget about dyno sheets and power gained. The car will be so much faster just because of how driveable it is. Full throttle, part throttle, on boost, off boost. . . . . it is all good!

Also, Rob's car is THE NICEST 944 I have ever seen. It was like a trip back to the 1980s!! Seriously, I have seen some very nice low mileage cars. Nothing like this. It looks/feels like it has been in an airtight bubble for the last 15 years.

Lart, you certainly know how to make me laugh. However, sometimes you take it a bit too far.

Joe, you should bring the 951 over to new england for a weekend. We can have a DFASTEST vs. Rolex vs. special tool shootout. I think a few people on this board would be interested in watching those videos!

To be honest. I think I might. ST has contacted me as well and I may take him up on his offer if it's still good. That's after I make a purchase from John. That's after I see how Rob's car turns out. Then it depends on how my business goes. I'm anxious to see how things go. I'll let you guys know for sure.

That sounds like a pretty sweet idea Ted. A couple of emails or phone calls might open the door for European Car or Excellence or another mag to come and cover the whole thing. Pablo M could bring out his project 951 and see how it stacks up against 3 of the country's finest.

dyno, 1520', 0-100-0, skidpad, slalom, road course...

I like it.

Remember, as of right now, second place is only the first loser and I ain't giving up my name any time soon. Rob already messed up by having Lindsey do the work in the first place instead of going to a real builder. Powerhaus didn't build my motor to be the fastest. Just the most reliable. I am where I am with only 53lb injectors, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, etc. I think I'll just have Powerhaus go all out on it with just stock motronic and see how far I out muscle his car. Then after that I'll just rub it in by stopping by ST's house with some parts from John. Let's not even take into effect how my car looks...(quote from European Car Magazine) "nicest black paint we've ever seen". Uh, oh...Dem's fightin' words ain't they... BBWWAAAAAHHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just playin. I thought I'd live it up till the results come back as I'm sure Rob's car will be awesome on the dyno. Hell, I still may even sell mine at the auction this winter. I don't know.
