Driver Side Seat Has (Big) Rip In Lumbar Area - Should I Replace or Repair?
From trolling the list, I understand that 911 seats can be used to replace 944 seats. My driver's seat has the electric option and it's the one that I want to repair/replace, but it's hard to find 944s with the red (mahogany) interior, most are black or brown.
Has anyone purchased a seat repair kit, or had their seats re-done professionally, or should I just find some nice 944/911 replacement seats on eBay?

Free plug for Travis. . .
Short of that, take it to an upholstery shop (that's what I did).

Unless there is something strange about your car you can swap the seat backs across between the seats (it has 2 handles to tip it forward on each seat, right?). Get it repaired then swap it with the passenger seat backrest and you will have a bolster like new taking the most wear and no wear at all on the repaired one.
