On my original post I was going to have HP plus TQ divided by the RPM where max TQ was achieved then rank off that... but it gets pretty complicated, especially if we then consider psi, dyno type, wheel diameter, the load put on the car (easy to overload on some dyno's)... etc etc

If we can come up with another list where we all agree on a set forumla, i.e. considering all the factors in a ranking, then I will add it.

Yes - my vote will be for a max torque list ONLY - all other measurements are plainly bogous and should be disreguarded.

"A dynojet (248C) does NOT read load - it is a simple accelerometer. "

So I can post a pic of my G-Tech display and it would be very accurate???? As it is nothing more then an accelerometer and uses "real world" load.

Actually, if the weight input was dead on, I would say it would be more accurate then a dyno, i.e. real world, traction, friction, wind resistance and wind into the IC, etc.

that would be hard with people lieing about what boost level they made that power since most dyno's don't show boost levels

Danny, you can get a boost print out on the chart, just most people want to conceal it I think...

I think we need a holistic calculation, otherwise people will be saying, now a list for mustang dyno's, now a list for psi, now a list for dynpjets, now a list for 16, 17, and 18 inch rims.

Scott, if the motor you posted was not one off, how did you get such a high rev range out of it??

it was still making hp almost at 7K rpm.

OK, I just called Dyno Comp and they are going to try to find my dyno without load. They confirmed that my dyno posted was on load. They remembered me and said that they will pull it up. Problem is that they purged their hard drive about a year ago and it may be gone. So, turns out I'm just an idiot. I didn't know most do their runs without a load. So, I pretty excited that my car is more powerful than I thought. I'm still an idiot though. So, Scott Gomes and Special Tool, thanks for enlightening me and I'm changing my sig...

In that case it will always be apples and oranges.

So when I put my car on the dyno in a couple of weeks, basically everything is allowed?

OT, but I rode in Dave's car and that thing is completely insane. I know him and Ian where having a competion here for a while. I am not sure who bought his car but I know his should probably be on here as well.

The best wheel dyno is the MAHA , that what the factory and the major tuners in Europe use ( after the engine dyno) , period. There are some in the US and I know of two in Socal.
Drawbacks? Big $, puts some real stress on marginal tuned cars and I am repeating myself here , not good for bench racing or internet bragging because they read accurate , which is the exact opposit of the dynojet.

Hmm, damn, the dyno I want to use is a MAHA and is calibrated every 3 months.

How about put in some model airplane engine fuel in for those peak hp runs. It is a mixture of nitro and alcohol. Sure made my old weed eater run like mad and it needed a ring job something fierce.
