<<<Sorry, but the HKS SSQV is the best BOV.>>>

I just sold mine... Wasn't too happy with it. Leaked on vacuum and fluttered when venting - not to mention the sound.

Sould start a GB on the TiAL 50mm BOV's. (That's what I'm gonna try next.)

Don't mean to throw a wrench in the works, but have you folks looked at the ReFlex BOV that we offer. Numerous 951 people are using these valves and till date we have not had a single complaint. I really mean that. Just compare the ReFlex valve features to the Forge and see for yourself. We will match or beat the Group Buy price for anyone interested.

Well, I need a BOV now, and all the manufacturer/dealer descriptions say theirs is best. So, I need the input of this forum to decide.

If the Forge valve is being discontinued, is it beacause they are coming out with something better, or sales just do not justify continuing production?

Within reason, I'm willing to pay more for a unit that will do the job well and will last under heavy track use.

If an engine is making almost twice the original HP, is a BOV that flows 15% more than stock adequate?

It is slightly larger than stock but still mounts in the same position. You may need to shave a a little off the rubber hoses to keep it from bumping the hood.

On the tech note side...

To make sure mine cleared the hood, I used a dab of shaving cream on top of the vacuum elbow and very slowly put the hood down. I do not run with any insulation under the hood so this made it even easier to see when it was hitting.
A few mm of hose cutting and she fit like a charm, no clearance issues.

Default There ia nothing wrong with these valves

I just wanted to clear up a misconception, that these valves are being discontinued because there is something wrong with it .That is just not true
I was told they are redesigning it because the fitment issue for the 911 is a bit off ...
That is a big market for them. ( It's not like any company is going to target a car that hasn't been made in 15 yrs ) That is why they are discontinuing it.
Not because there is a problem

With that said I dont care if you would like to choose another valve.
I decided to run with this one because Jim a guy on our board is shot on bull and long on results, had recommended it . In truth I dont know $hit about these valves or any other for that matter. I was just going with what I thought was some sound advice. Also the price seems really great... Your call

Please post if you are interested so I can get a head count
Also, if someone would be kind enough to step up once this is set in motion,
and run with this, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a # of personal commitments that must be take care of.

Thanks guys for your time
Regards
Ed

sorry but i have to agree with sam on this one.the HKS SSQ BOV IS THE BEST because it CANNOT leak.you must of lost the screw on the back of the valve.it cant leak boost because its using boost to hold the valve shut its valve type bov.btw, you can recirculate air with the hks ssq bov.

Crazy Eddy, I'm in as long as it's kosher with the Renn Boss. You know the drill. Thanks for the efforts. That said, I did just notice that Boost Science is a member, so perhaps we should give that some consideration as well, if things don't quite come together. E

Agree with ehall on that. If boost science is a member we should give him a chance, also ask special tool if he has any experience with the boost sciences bov. I am running the accuboost in my car and I am a happy customer, fast shipping good product can't beat that.

It's been passed by John
As to Boost Sciences I have no problem with other vendors
The only problem is " So may BOV's Sooo little time
I don't have the bandwidth to really do this with one vendor no less 2- or 3
I will ask Jim if he has had any experience with the others and see what he says.
If any one can step in I would be glad to relinquish the task at hand
regards
Ed
