Default Mandrel bending.....necessary??

Well....I have to register my car here in CT...which means I have to go through emissions. Unfortunately, the drive from CO to CT created a hole in my stock exhaust system....which means it's time to replace/upgrade

I can have a system built here in CT very cheap....around $450 installed....but it won't be a mandrel bent. Other option is the 3" Lindsey Racing unit for around $900 plus install ( I can do it myself....but don't have the time these days....work too much).

So my question is.....Is having my system with mandrel bends that important???

Depends on your goals. Are you sticking to a stock K26?

Not likely. I will eventually get a K27....but that's a couple years out (need to buy a house 1st). Next winter will be a MAP kit from Vitesse w/ the stock turbo. Mid 300rwhp is my final goal...but again...a couple years out.

Well, I'd wait until you can get a 3" mandrel system. Buy what you want ONCE. Bear in mind that buying the cheap exhaust now and a good exhaust later will become a $1400 system when you're done.
