Never fails to make me smile...
Without boring everyone as to why, I needed to clear my head this morning. I took the roof out of my car, and headed out. It is a beautiful Sunday here, blue skys and a few clouds, low 70's. There is a tremendous road leading to a river not far from here; off I went.
It never ceases to amaze me how balanced and fun these cars are; the exhaust booming off the rock walls along the road were pure symphony. I felt so much better after I returned.
Enjoy your car!

I drove home from KC this morning after a weekend of wrenching, BBQ and go cart racing! 4 1/2 hours, radio off, just me and the road. Did a lot of thinking, cleared my head and just enjoyed my car!

I know how you feel. I ripped of almost 90 miles yesterday all by lonesome. Just me and the car. Beautiful sunny day, high 60s, and a bunch of long country roads to stretch her legs and smell the fresh air.
Funny thing is, today we had the same weather and I drove the exact same route in the 930 and I had more fun in the 951. Even though the car doesnt hit quite as hard it just seems so at home and so easy to put through its paces. It could also be that I have a hell of lot more paint chips in it and so my conscience is free. The stereo in it is 100 fold better too so when i wanted to change tunes from exhaust to **** Chung, it was actually doable.
On the asshat radar however, I had a Trans Am do a high speed pass on the highway at about 120mp (only to abruptly realize after impressing me he was gonna nearly miss his exit unless he slammed on the brakes and merged over), and on two separate occasions dudes in crotch rockets tried to egg me on. WTF. Cars measure HP by LB/HP. Bikes measure it HP/LB.
Racing is for *******.
