Default What is this plastic thing attached to the end of brake booster vacum hose?

I am replacing the vacum hoses. One end of the brake booster hose has this plastc piece that I drew the arrow pointing to that slides inside this metal y piece. I want to replace that hose from the brake booster. can I easily remove this plastic piece from the existing hose and attach it to a new one?

What I need to know if it will disconnect from the rubber hose it is attached to. It looks like it is molded to the hose. Is this true?

Wait a minute. Is this part of the venturi that i hear can be deleted? i ask because i found a thread here that has a new hose from Lindsey racing going from the t fitting from the brake booster along the top of the firewall that goes directly to one of the ports in between the intake runners. So can i delete this piece?

Alpine951: That is the venturi and yes, it get's deleted if you purchase and "update" kit from MySwiss, Lindsey Racing or directly from Porsche (89+models?)

I started a thread a while back (December or so) showing the intake off and the hoses running around there, also shows the "new" 3 hoses that replace the 5(?) hoses.

Here is the thread, hop that helps: Click Me
