white smoke on boost -turbo gone bad ?
The other day my oil was low (at 2 quarts). without takling exact measurment(pouring from a five gallon jug) I poured in approx. 2-3 quarts (10w40). Hindsight says probably more. Well as I started up initially I had no boost - then boost came back on but each time with extreme white smoke. after approx 25 min the smoking starts and the car seems to run fine. But whenever I start the car there is a loud dry whirring sound from under the hood - I am assuming the turbo - sometimes it diminishes when the car warms up - other time it stays even with the car warm. Am I in need of a new turbo or maybe just seals? 86 stock turbo with guru chips - 130k
