Its because TonyG got a dyno'ed several plugs and found the BPR7ES whooped every other expensive plug out there. I use them and just change them more frequently.

My street 951 uses Bosch WR6DC (one range colder than stock) with Guru 18 psi chips
My Turbo Cup uses stock Bosch W4CC with stock Cup 300hp chips

Those are NOT good, man. Not good.
Even at high power levels, they should be tan.
You need a zeitronix.

How are they bad. Please be specific. Is this caused by oil or something?

Thanks for the feedback.

Lean, lean, lean. You also seem to have some detonation looking at the metal deposits on the plugs. Dump the platinum plugs.

Streck - take those chips out and run them over - then back over them to make sure they are dead. The curve on them look like a roller-coaster at Six Flags, and if you raise the boost - look out.
Looks like ash or even metal (!!!!!!!!!!!) too, like Jeremy said.
I would not even drive it, until I could see what was going on in the head.

I know my wastegate is weak and bleeds boost (max is ~13psi before quickly bleeding off) so I don't know how lean it gets. I did post another thread requesting info for a dyno shop that can measure AFR.

I'm thinking of buying chips from Vitesse, but would like to retain the MAF so I'll have to talk with him about that.

Also,
Looking at the plugs again, the color is not nearly as white as they look in hte picture. They are more brown. The flash really brightend and washed out the real color. I should take them out int he sun and take another pic.

This is what I use, wanted to try the iridium but just couldn’t get hold of them at the time. These seem to work well and were not expensive.
