Id suggest you go get a cheap pressure/vacuum gague, and clamp it onto a hose that will go onto a T vacuum fitting. The gague needle movement is much more accurate for leak detection, short of a mass spec with He gas hooked up, and is plenty what you need. If it doesnt leak (especially at that damn venturi), and car stops with little effort, then its working right.
