Hmm not exactly sure, I have their loom though, its a master piece (but not cheap either then), I think the total package (link computer, new harness, igniter) may be around USD2,000, Neil at PD can confirm that though. The Wolf is between 3 - 3.5K from what I have heard.

Well the computer itself seems to be adequate, and the wiring harness looks great, but what really disappoints me is the support. I'm told the unit comes with no 'starting point', and that support is next to nil. While great support can't make up for an inadequate product, bad support can certainly render a good one useless.

Well, Links support to me has been second to none. I have even had the tech's work on my car in the weekend help me out when I first installed it! Performance Developments are great to deal with and Neil is very knowledgable. The unit coms with a base map that runs out of the box. I installed mine, turned the key and was driving. Obviously you need to adjust the fuel and timing to your specific needs (which is why you are getting one) to "tune" it. I have never heard of bad support from PD. Who told you they offer bad support?

PS there are several guys on here using the Link standalone, you can get a lot of specific help here as well as Performance Developments, Link in NZ (they even have a forum for help). Its not often when dealing with standalone ECU's that you get to talk to the software engineers and electrical engineers of the product for support!

Hmm....well that's very comforting to hear. I'm not going to say who told me they had bad support, but it looks like I'll have to do more research on it then. They do appear to have a very promising product, so it's definatly worth the effort to look into.

BTW, I notice you're in NZ, is that where PD is? If so, any idea of what their support would be halfway around the globe? I can't exactly drive over in that case, and phone support would be interesting with a 12hr time differential

PD is in the US... PD is the US distributor and support the product in the US, but there are hundreds of tuners retailing the Link product. Link is in New Zealand and offer back up support to the distributors. Hope that clears up any confusion!
