Feeler: Be Cool!

Bill,
Just to be clear, what radiator did you send for them to use as a template? the #02 or #50? If it was the #02, do you know what changed between them, so that I don't end up with a copy of the wrong radiator?
Thanks.

Bill,
Great job getting the group buy together. I've been away for a few days and just returned. You have mu vote for a QC. No sense on ,*** production if it doesn't fit. I', in no hurry,
Efren

Blau 951,
I used my OE 86 radiator. Not to worry, ALL 944 TURBOS USE THE SAME RADIATOR. My contact a Porsche Parts says that usually a design change is the cause behind a change in the part number, but a vendor change will also affect a number change. He felt that it was a vendor change that caused the superceeded part number. He reinterated that if I used my 86 radiator for the template, it will fit all year turbos. The mounting points have never changed, and the rest of the radiator will be designed by Griffin to provide the additional cooling capacity within the OE space constraints.
Also I added your name to the list, as "so that I don't end up with a copy of the wrong radiator" implies that you want in on this group buy. Let me know if I assumed incorrectly.
As I said, to really put everyones mind at ease, I am going to order a prototype, install it into my 86 and cas951's 88 TS, prior to giving the GO for the rest of the group. (Efren, thanks for offering your TS).

This is amazing. I never imagined this many people would be interested in this. I think it is money well spent given the importance of controlling heat.
Kudos to Bill and kudos to all of us for caring for our beloved 951s.
