Chris, Rolex,

That car that has the solid lifters is Woodie Wies's car. I know the shop really well. They run at 6900k rpm and this year they were thinking about running 7100k rpm. That might be an old motor because for the last couple of years they switched builders. They don't use JME and thier head is no longer a solid lifter head. I can't tell all but they have a simple setup.

ps- the $250k rumer is that a rumer

Looks like SFR headers.
Lots of good stuff there. The inspection ports are nice.
The stock lifters are a pain in the butt! I would be more than happy to chuck all the hydro 8v lifters and go solid – it just a tad expensive for the ‘regular’ guys!

I have been instructing with NNJR for a bunch of years – they have a great DE program. Us folks in the CNY chapter aren’t big enough to have our own events!

The pictures aren’t of Woodies, they are of Steve Savino’s car – although both were by JME built engines. Steve’s is a 3 liter - GT1

Your right Chris, my bad but, He bought that car from woodie. I have steve's old 4" exhaust. Steve's car is now up to 7400rpm and I was told he's moving that up to 7800rpm. Woddie has the turbo on the passenger side and is only at 6900rpm

NZ, I spoke to John the other day. He told me he's only selling the manifold if you buy a complete motor. He said he had none in stock and did'nt think he wanted to sell them seperate. crazy huh?

At the price he charges (well worth it) I would imagine you would want to sell te to anyone who wants one! I suspect he has had some guys install or set it up incorrectly and whinge etc perhaps? So if he sells the motor, he can configure everything to run as a total solution? Just guessing here.

evil 944t:

Thanks for telling me about that car. $250K sound high to me. Yeah, but then again Dfastest951's is worth, according to Powerhaus, $200K? No offense, but you have to be kidding me. I know what my entire project is costing me, plus the purchase of my 27K original mile car. And I am NO WAY near that $200K mark, not even close. And it is fair to say, that my mods are pretty much up there, if not more than that car too.

Chirs:

I would love to talk to you offline at some point. Definately about The Glen, and also, about my soild lifter set-up too. Lots of good stuff to tell ya pal. Maybe I'll send you a PM. But either way, if you go to The Glen, I'd definately meet you up there. Such a great track!

evil 944t:

Who built that motor, do you know? JME for sure? And yeah, as Chris knows and most do too, over 7K you have to have a dry dump. It's really not an option, even more so if you are "constanly" at/over the 7.5K+ range and higher. Those guys who spin these suckers constably at 8500 are the ones who really utilize/need a dry-sump set up.

yes and no, They used JME motors but they don't now. I can't say who does thier work. Sorry, but I'm not sure if they want that info out. I cannot speak bad of milledge, they still use his cams. They found someone that makes more hp for less.

I hear ya. And I cannot say a thing bad about JME. He makes some incredible (race only) engines. I'll tell you this too. Before I decided to go with Lindsey to build my 3.0L, I did extensive research for months and months. Along that process, I had conversations with people like Anderson, Kelly Moss, JME, and yes Powerhaus too. Let's just say this, JME (super genius), was way more expensive than anybody else. Like by a lot. I am familar with his work to some degree. And yes, he is basically a mad scientist too!
