I just picked up this 1986 951 with 113k. Owned a 924S in the 90s (seems like long ago). Not sure how well it's going to perform for autocross, I think road racing is its strong suit, huh?

Default Thanks for the warm welcome

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm glad I found this forum. Lots of valuable information here. Don't have any lady pics yet lart951 and ehall... can't figure a way to work the camera and sit in the car too. Here's the only engine shot I have right now guns951. Only had the car about a week. Needs a good cleaning. And yes, it is almost prestine other than a few paint chips around the bottom and a warn out shifter boot.

Gorgeous shot, ahem....and i'm also waiting for the lady pics 9xauto.com has some good deals on little parts like a shifter boot, then there is also rennbay, lindseyracing.com, and 944online.com that come to mind. Any plans on mods? Or just keeping her original?

I checked around today and ended up ordering the AGLA shift boot kit from Paragon. Seemed like a good way to go since it comes with the boot already on the shifter for easy install. I don't have plans on doing any mods to her. She is unmolested and I want to keep her that way. I perfer the stock look.

testarossa_td: I love what you did with my pics. That is so cool. I hope you don't mind if I use it for my avatar. Are there many women on this forum? Surely I am not the only one.

Nordstern has a good driver's training class coming up at the end of September

Let it stretch it's legs a little.
