Do you vent the ex. manifold heat to the slipstream?
There's a hole in the fender well which may serve this purpose, and I've considered using a heat blanket to partition off the ex. manifold such that it is fed cooling air from below, then vents out that hole to the fender well, a known low pressure area. This would help keep the engine bay from heat-soaking the intake plumbing, etc., thereby making the intercooler more efficient.
Similar thermal partitioning of the turbo venting its spent cooling air to the left side fender well would also help.
Better to keep the intake plumbing cool in the first place, than to let it heat soak and then mess with larger intercooler, etc.
