FOR SALE: k27/6, Vitesse chips, MAF, 55's

All parts under 1000 miles excellent condition. I have all dyno charts 330/347 rwhp/rwtq. 3.3 bar fuel, 20 psi. Everything works perfectly together. I have switched to a stage 3 Vitesse turbo and race maf which necessitates other chips because of maf calibration.Price is $1500 - includes shipping and is not negotiable. :)
PM if interested. Thank you - Jim

And the dyno chart, once AFR was cleaned up with SMT6..

That's the chart for a K27/6? It looks like the boost comes on late for a /6 turbine.

MitchB 10-12-2004 01:19 PM

My question too - why does it build so late?
Specialtool you have PM.
Fast951 - is there support from you avail if I buy?

fast951 10-12-2004 01:49 PM

MitchB, what type of support?

Just to make things clear, I know the owner of the kit, and I am aware of the dyno tuning etc... I posted the charts as I already had them...

fast951 10-12-2004 01:50 PM

One thing which contributes to the spoolup, is that Jim was running in 3rd gear.. So in 4th gear you will have better spoolup!

special tool 10-12-2004 02:17 PM

Yes, all runs are 3rd gear only because on my previous dyno trip with the ape chips (30 less rwhp) we used 3rd and I wanted a proper benchmark.

macnewma 10-12-2004 02:35 PM

How much tweaking was provided by the SMT6?

That is a pretty stout dyno for a K27/6. I thought you said it was on 18psi though. Also, is this race gas?

streckfu's 10-12-2004 02:39 PM

How much of a difference would there be if the run was made in 4th? I know the turbo would spool sooner but what about the curve?

porshhhh951 10-12-2004 03:35 PM

the curve would be flatter and hp and tq would be realized much sooner.

I never dyno car's in 3rd for that reason but, special I understand why you did it this time.

I hope we can be incontact soon about the Vitesse stage 3 kit because I am looking into it and it looks really nice. I hope it doesn't break the bank though.lol.

Could I use my currenty Lr stage 2 maf system or no???

emwporsche 10-12-2004 05:49 PM

I don't mean to butt in but that is not right for a #6 hotside.

Ignore the max numbers as I was at a higher psi but this is how a #6 spool up graph should look like:
http://members.rennlist.com/emwporsche/scan.jpg

it takes 2 seconds flat to spool up in the 3000 rpm range.
edit: this run is in third gear.

streckfu's 10-12-2004 05:51 PM

John already clarified that a 4th gear run would move the curve to the left.

If that's a k27/6, how much boost did you have to run? Damn, that looks like a lot.

emwporsche 10-12-2004 05:57 PM

it was at 24 psi.

this graph is at 3rd gear to so mine would move to the left in 4th then supposedly too.
It's a whole 1000 rpm's later with the same turbo hotside!

PLease note:
Because it makes a huge difference, He started his run at 2000 rpm.
I started mine at 3500.
It doesn't take me 3500 rpm to fully spool up. So my power range is even further to the left than what is shown.

(as an example say you started your run at 5500 rpms for whatever reason. Just because it shows it spooling up at 5700 rpms doesn't mean it takes that long) So my graph is even more left than his (over 1000 rpm difference)

#6 hotside tubo should spool just fine at 3200 rpms. My graph would show that had we started it at the 3200.

I might try and upload a better dyno.

macnewma 10-12-2004 06:07 PM

Is it possible that you have a K27/8 and you don't know it?

That might explain the high HP number and slow spool.

Max

emwporsche 10-12-2004 06:18 PM

here's a better pic.
this is at 18-19 psi with a few less mods and in third gear with the 27/6 (#6 hotside)
