Default [951] MAF ?

Hi,

I have the LR intake system and I would like to put a MAF kit... I just don't know wich one to choose (SFR, LR, Guru...).

Do you think I can put this part (LR level1 MAF):

with this part of the LR intake system :

Instead of buying the LR level2 MAF kit :

Is a MAP kit like SFR better than a MAF ?

Mendex email's are okay but, the only way I ever got intouch with them was via phone.

Why not bite the bullet and get the stage 2 maf(the one I have and love it)

the Map system's in general are a little more exact on reading's. As far as the hole BOV vent to atmosphere arugment.....it's not that big of a deal I have had my bov doing that for a year with my maf. Either way weither it's map or maf both system's are good. The guru map kit's are nice.

I am glad I went maf. I am very happy with it. I bought alot of stuff from Lindsey so it just made more sense.

p.s what are your mods? and what year is your 951?
if it's the one in your avator......whoa! Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

Can you buy just that one part of that LR intake so it relocates the stock afm? That is exactly what I need!

Yes you can buy a relocation for the stock afm, If I am not mistaken. I have the LR stage 2 maf and am very happy with it. Mike and Dave have been great. As porshhhh951 said the only way to get in touch with them is via phone. Or at least that is what I have found. But they are more than willing to help you with any problems. Best of luck.

I just ordered their stage II a few days ago. I spent a lot of time on the phone with a couple of guys over there (probably close to an hour), and they were very helpful. Your best bet is to call them like others are saying, they may even be able to put together a special package for you with just the parts you need.

Someone not getting back to you in two weeks is a bad sign. Especially with all the other recent problems with suppliers going under etc.

If they can't be bothered checking their e-mail, they shouldn't make that address available.

Lindsey Racing has been awesome to deal with. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I have called them and if they are not available they will get back to me within a half an hour.
Best of luck. If you want to see a pic of it installed here you go.

MENDRAX AND MIKEAAGESEN..YOU GUYS NEED TO TALK! seems that mendrax went with the Kokeln intake kit for the stock afm wich relocates it..and MIkeaagese nedds one..why not sell the intake kit to him Mendrax and you get a full MAF kit..yes the stage 2..so you have the good clean piping...besides Mikeaagese needs all those parts for his conversion...
if you take the cheap route your MAF and air filter will be too close to the turbo...
best thing..MIke needs that .....you sell it to him ..whole kit minus the IC pipes becouse I am sure you want to keep those...and you get the stage 2 maf.....

Darius that's a good idea....if Mikeaagesen is ok!!! that would be really great!

My mods are :

-LR intake system (Kokeln + those black parts for the stock AFM) new and not installed:

it's not my car...

- bailey DV30 bypass valve...

that's all !

Like Darius said, I've got those two black parts (from the intake kit) that relocates the stock AFM... Now I want to go for a MAF... but if I choose level2 I can get rid of those black parts (and those parts are the only difference between LR intake system: 750$ et Kokeln hardpipes: 490$ If I knew I would have chosen the hard pipes only....). I would like to find a solution that would help me not to loose my money and get rid of those black parts!

Mikeaagesen, I can sell you those two black parts (from the LR intake system) with the hoses and the K&N which relocates the stock AFM (the kit is new and has never been installed)... if you want...

P.S : My avatar is not my car.... If only it was!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with black944turbo here. Dave and Mike are great to deal with. They have spent countless hours with me on the phone answering my question's. So far I have spent some serious money with them....because of there customer service and general knowledge base of the 951. I will be buying my new head and my new intake manifold from them as well....that is....whenever I get the money.lol.
