Question turbo

The stock k26/6 turbo is on the left and my new turbo is on the right. Is something wrong with the exhaust side of the new turbo? Why is it facing the opposite way? Or is it suppose to be like that.

lol, all you have to do is lossen the compressor housing and turn it to wherever you want it to point, so set it up like the K26, and then tighten it back down.

Sorry, that new turbo is junk. The orientation is way off. I'm looking for cores and will gve you $100 for it.

Just kidding of course. The new turbo just needs to be indexed.

You will have to loosen both the compessor and turbine housings and make a few test fits on the car till you get the turbo "indexed" correctly.

No to powder coating, if you do anything coat the turbine housing with either Swain's White Lightning or Jet Hot 2000 both are about $80.

I just removed a turbo with the Swain's and am installing a Vitesse stage 4 that I had Jet Hot coated.

The Swain's works well only reason I went with Jet Hot this time was that Swain's lost my turbine and it took 6 weeks to find it and return to me, but the coating is very good.
