She's back home!!!
Got the 951 out of storage this morning.
I put in a new DME Relay and a new battery. Turned the ignition key to the second notch and held it there while I heard the fuel pump start up then continued on to the third notch...the engine fired up on a quarter turn!!!
Yahoo!!!
Let it idle for about fifteen minutes. It had a slow coolant leak all winter long from the top of the radiator where the thin coolant line from the expansion tank connects to the radiator. Just a little under a cup (250 ml) of coolant leaked over 4 months. Some had pooled under the rad. That evaporated off as the engine warmed up. Then I drove it home (about a 10 minute ride) without going over 3000 RPM.
next projects:
1. Fixing the leak
2. Cleaning the K&N air filter
3. Oil change
4. New fuel filter and new fuel pump
5. Fixing an A/C leak by changing the condenser
6. Rear suspension stiffening to prevent squat upon acceleration
7. New tires (Suggestions are welcomed. I'd like to keep stock sizes on my 16" PD's)
