question about turbo cup car hood latch d-ring
I have a Canadian Turbo Cup car and on one of the hood latches, the d ring handle is bent to the point it has come loose from the base piece. I have a picture of the correct piece, but after doing a lot of looking on the internet, i have not found one. They have a pin on the bottom that allows the fastener to stay captive in the hood. Does anyone have any of these nos, or know if any are still made(doubtful), Here is a pic of the correct piece, along with a pic of the car.

Looks like a Camloc bail handle fastener: search for Camloc Quarter Turn - 50E18-21AGV. |
I have some NOS of these. I've searched hi and low and none of the camloc stuff suits or if it does it is NLA and requires massive minimum order quants. PM me and we can work something out.

I hope you find the part you need but quite honestly you lost me at “I have a Canadian Turbo Cup” and that picture you posted  |
^ Agreed, beautiful car, love the livery - post more pictures!

So jealous. Let us know if you have any magnesium extras for sale :)

Not heard form you but I'm guessing this is what you are looking for. They are Porsche Motorsport parts from the 962 le mans parts bin. Obviously used on the 944 Cup Cars too, Part number 962 521 521 00. NLA from Porsche. I have a few spare that I'm saving for a Turbo Cup bonnet project that is still in its early stages. PM me if you want me to send you one.

Also used on the earlier 906 and 907 cars.

There was a second magnesium intake manifold available in SeaCay's thread a few posts down.
I saw that and sent him my contact info but haven't heard anything. Hopefully he will reach out. |

I'm not taking my project to that level but I did have my manifold bead blasted with great success just to clean it up. |
Here is a Camlock Bail Handle next to a factory pin - very close other than the recess around the head.

Beamishnz,
Do you happen to still have the bail handle 1/4 turn camloc studs available? Do yours have a "13" stamped on top? I'm looking to purchase if you still have extra on hand. Thanks. -RS |
Yes I still have a few spare. How many do you want? The number on the top is 21 not 13. Happy to supply dimensions if that will help.
